Welcome to my homepage! I am a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Department, IIT Bombay. I work in the field of power electronics and energy conversion. I did my Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur, M. Tech. from IIT Kanpur and B.E. from Jadavpur University in 2019, 2012 and 2008 respectively. From 2018 to 2021, I was a post-doctoral associate at the University of Maryland, College Park, U.S.A. My detailed CV can be found here.
Research Overview
I work in the area of power electronics and energy conversion. Power electronics is a key enabling technology for a variety of applications like renewable energy systems, transportation electrification, space, data center, industrial drives etc. My broad goal is to conduct fundamental as well as applied, industry-oriented research for building next-gen power electronic converters, which are more efficient, compact, reliable and affordable. Towards this aim, I seek to drive innovations in power converter topologies and control, soft-switching methods, wide-band-gap semiconductor-based converters, device packaging, high-frequency magnetics, multi-objective optimization and emerging intelligent design tools.
